Rashomon film poster

POSTER

I created this poster for the (1950) film Rashomon by Akira Kurosawa, who was known for his impressionistic style and use of lighting. In the film, a crime scene in the woods is shown several times through the eyes of different witnesses. In my poster, the semi-transparent white forms represent the veil worn by the main character, and the illusion of cracks portray the fragmented truths.
